To the left is a picture of a Healthy Eating Pyramid.
This shows us what foods to eat the most, eat moderately and to eat in small amounts. Healthy eating pyramids are a great way to know what you should be eating. As a pyramid is large at the bottom and smaller at the top, it is a great way to split up into three sections and to show us what to eat the most, moderately and what to eat the least. At the bottom of the pyramid where the bulk of the food is consists of fruits, vegetables, breads and cereals. These should be eaten the most and will provide you with vitamins, minerals and your main source of energy. In the middle section are the foods you should eat moderately which consist of your dairy foods, meat, fish or alternatives. These foods will supply you with your calcium for strong bones and your proteins. At the top where there is the smallest section are the foods that you should eat the least and in small amounts.
